Confidential
We need a part-time VA who already knows YouTube inside and out. You’ll be responsible for uploading finished videos to YouTube and optimizing them for discovery, retention, and growth.
This is not a training role. You need to walk in already knowing how YouTube Studio works, how the algorithm rewards certain uploads over others, and what makes a video actually get picked up. If we have to teach you how to write a title, choose a thumbnail, or set up end screens, this isn’t the right role for you.
What You’ll Do
– Upload long-form videos to YouTube through YouTube Studio — correct formatting, resolution, and settings every time
– Write SEO-optimized titles, descriptions, and tags that pull in the right audience
– Design or select click-worthy thumbnails aligned to the channel’s visual style
– Set up chapters, timestamps, cards, and end screens that keep viewers watching and clicking through
– Build and manage playlists for topic clustering and session watch time
– Schedule uploads at optimal times based on channel analytics
– Monitor CTR, watch time, retention graphs, and audience retention curves — report what’s working and what’s not
– Keep metadata, categories, and visibility settings consistent across the channel
– Suggest tweaks based on YouTube analytics — not guesses
What We’re Looking For
Required:
– Proven YouTube publishing experience — you’ve uploaded and optimized videos for a real channel (yours or a client’s), with results to show
– Deep working knowledge of YouTube Studio — not just the upload button, but the full backend
– Strong grasp of YouTube SEO — keyword research, title structure, description formatting, tags, hashtags
– Understanding of the algorithm: CTR, watch time, session duration, retention curves, impressions, browse vs. suggested traffic
– Ability to read YouTube analytics and translate numbers into recommendations
– Experience with thumbnail selection and basic thumbnail editing (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
– Good written English — titles and descriptions must sound natural to US viewers
– Reliable internet and a quiet workspace
– Part-time availability with overlap on US business hours
Nice to have:
– Experience managing a channel from 0 → significant subscriber growth
– Keyword research tools: TubeBuddy, VidIQ, Ahrefs, or similar
– Thumbnail design skills in Photoshop or Figma
– Social media cross-posting experience (sharing uploads to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X)
– Experience with community tab posts, Shorts strategy, and premiere scheduling
– Familiarity with multi-channel management
How to Apply
Send your application
Include:
1. Updated CV
2. Links to 2–3 YouTube channels you’ve uploaded and optimized for — direct links to specific videos you handled, with a note on what you did (title, thumbnail, description, scheduling, etc.)
3. Numbers that back up your work — subscriber growth, average CTR, retention improvements, specific videos that broke out
4. Short video intro in English — introduce yourself and walk us through how you’d optimize a brand new upload from start to finish
5. Your weekly availability and preferred working hours
Applications without proof of real YouTube publishing experience will not be reviewed. Theory and courses do not qualify.
