Paylow Staffing
We are a fast-growing children’s publishing and writing business seeking a detail-oriented and reliable General Administrative Virtual Assistant to support day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and confident managing emails, calendars, documents, and spreadsheets in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize email inboxes, including drafting and responding to emails professionally
- Coordinate calendars and schedule meetings across multiple platforms (Google Calendar, Microsoft, GoDaddy)
- Prepare, edit, and convert documents (Word ↔ PDF)
- Create, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets (contact lists, newsletters, event signups, tracking sheets)
- Organize files and documents using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
- Support general administrative tasks to keep daily operations running smoothly
- Handle confidential information with discretion (NDA required)
- Provide light support with basic social media platforms as needed
Requirements
- Strong written English skills, especially for email drafting and personalization
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proven experience managing inboxes and scheduling meetings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Google Workspace
- Comfortable working with calendars and integrating multiple scheduling systems
- Reliable, consistent, and able to follow established processes
- Willingness to be trained and grow within the role
Nice to Have (Bonus)
- Familiarity with grant research or grant writing, or willingness to learn
- Experience supporting small businesses, authors, or publishing-related work
